Virtual Nerd - review

If you are looking for a tutorial supplement for high school math or science, you might want to check out Virtual Nerd.
Who We Are...
Virtual Nerd offers online tutoring in math and science to students grades 7-12. Our service is both affordable and convenient, providing help whenever and as much as needed. Using our patent pending Dynamic Whiteboard, each student has a very interactive and personalized learning experience. While watching our pre-recorded videos, they can drill-down for more information and access FAQs, terms and definition to assist in their learning process. Service is available on a subscription plan basis, a 1-month subscription is $49 - multi-month plans are also available.
As a member of the TOS Homeschool Crew I had the opportunity to try out Virtual Nerd. While it wasn't a good match for the math and science programs we are currently using, I can see where it would be handy for students using a textbook-based math or science program, who might not understand particular concepts as they run into them. With the pre-recorded video/white-board format, it offers instruction or review that a student might miss when reading the textbook. I found the explanations clear and easy-to-understand.
