The Lightkeeper's Ball - review

Set in 1910 in a small town in California, The Lightkeeper's Ball by Colleen Coble is the third book in her Mercy Falls series. As with most series books, this one would have probably been more enjoyable if I had read the previous books. I had a hard time keeping track of all of the characters since I wasn't already familiar with them.

The story is about a rich socialite from New York who goes to "the wilds" of California to try to figure out how and why her sister died. I was intrigued by the mistaken identity plotline, as well as the murder mystery. I appreciated the message that was woven throughout that a person's true worth is not in who she is or how much money or education she has, but who she is inside.
