Sufficient for the Day...

"...do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink..."

...or whether or not winter will ever be over...
...or when Becky will get over this virus that has been hanging on for a week now...
...or what if the rest of us catch it from her...
...or what to do about the washer on the blink, after just replacing the dryer last week...
...or where to turn for encouragement when the days are dark and cold...

"For your heavenly Father know that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
Matthew 6:25, 32-34

Aw! Sometimes I get that "when it rains, it pours" feeling too. We've been praying for Rebecca. If it makes you feel a little better, I was talking to someone at co-op last week who said they just got over a flu that lasted something like 10 or 14 days, but . . . they are all completely better now. Some of the strains going around must have a longer recovery time than usual.

As for encouragement during the dark, cold days, wanna come over with the girls for tea and a visit after Rebecca is better? You can check out how our basement has progressed. Maybe the girls would even enjoy a round of hockey. :-)

Wish I had your laundry to do for you. One time when some of you were sick, Tim was only 13 months old, Bro. Boardman came to get our laundry and take to his wife. Later that day he brought it back all clean and dry. What a blessing.

Sorry Rebecca is still sick Karla, try not to be discouraged, look up. You have some new friends and we love you!!! Love getting together and playing games, and I think you gave Rog the snow mold!! Let's do lunch one of these days. That would be fun wouldn't it?

Thanks, Farrah and Dinah Raye! Yes, let's definitely get together soon... just as soon as *I* get over the crud. Blech! Hope mine doesn't hang on as long as Becky's did.

Mother, I'm grateful to say I managed to get caught up on the laundry before I started feeling bad, so that's a blessing! For now, the washer still works, after a fashion, it just has to be coaxed to spin more frequently than not.
