40 Photo Challenge

I'm participating in the debut of Pensieve's "40 Photo Challenge" meme. The idea is to write a response to a photo she posts each week in 40 words or less... I loved this week's picture, so I took her up on the challenge... Here's my response in the form of a cinquain (2, 4, 6, 8, and 2 words):

Welcome spring!
Fling open the windows!
Breathe deeply of the fragrant air!
Embrace with delight the treasures of the season!
Springtime joy!

"Fling" is a GREAT word! It is so enthusiastically action-oriented; to me, it gives movement to your cinquain (in addition to the rest of your poem, lol). The season is treasure filled, and I'm glad I discovered this work of art this time of year; I wonder how differently I'd have felt in the cold of winter, ya know?

THANKS for joining in! I'm loving the diversity I'm reading!

I love this form of poetry. I chose to go with haiku for mine.

This one is welcoming and so full of action. It makes us feel the same way.

I love the movement expressed in words, just like the movement was expressed in sculpture.

Cinquain … a lovely structure for your response. I went with Haiku since I combined mine with Haiku Friday but I find your ‘Spring-inspired’ piece delightful. Mine’s at Sacred Ruminations.

Fling open the windows... that's exactly what I think about with Spring. Of course that's after the pollen dies down :) Great job!

That is such a fun thing to participate in...the 40 or less photo meme! And I love the story of David and his pajamas. They look so cute on the clothesline. xoRAchel
