Crocheted Dishcloths

After knitting or crocheting several afghans last year, lately I've been enjoying smaller projects. Cotton yarn (which I love to work with) is great for making dishcloths, so when I came across The Big Book of Dishcloths pattern book, I couldn't resist trying my hand at some of them. There are patterns for 99 different dishcloths in the book. So far, I've made 9 of them! It would be fun to try them all, but I'll probably get tired of such small projects before I make it through the whole book. Besides, what in the world would I do with 99 dishcloths? Save 'em for my daughters' hope chests, I guess. Anyway, it will be a fun book to have on hand for when I'm in the mood for something small in between larger projects.

So. For Show & Tell Friday, here is a picture of the first "batch" I've whipped up. Which one is your favorite?

I like the look of the blue one (bottom left hand corner). They're really good.

Those are very pretty. I like the round one. I have crocheted pot holders shaped like little girl undies that I just love! Jen

The one in the top right corner will look best in my kitchen. But like Dori said, they will all be great for cleaning.

My vote is for the yellow and white one--top left corner. I love the fact that when you are done with a crochet project you are done it doesn't have to be framed or made into something else. Looks like a fun book.

I wonder if you enjoyed the comments as much as I? It's interesting to see who chooses which one(s) and why, isn't it? I think the yellow and white pattern would probably be my favorite pattern so far; but, the colors and shape of the round one in the center really drew my attention - I've just never washed dishes with a round rag. That would be a different experience for me! Thank you for your sweet comment on my post and for all your prayers. We REALLY need them right now!

crocheted dish cloths are the best! I've not found the color to inhibit me in any way in terms of use =)
